I'm Anjan Ghosh, a documentary photographer based in Kolkata, deeply rooted in the cultural fabric of rural and semi-urban Bengal.

My work captures the raw essence, dignity and stories of village life - with empathy, truth and resilience.

Biography

Anjan Ghosh is a documentary photographer based in Kolkata, India, whose lens is deeply rooted in the cultural fabric of rural and semi-urban Bengal. His work is dedicated to capturing the raw essence, dignity and stories of village life - not through the lens of poverty, but with empathy, truth and resilience.

Driven by a passion to document India's rural transformation amid rapid urbanisation, Anjan travels extensively through the interiors of West Bengal. He engages deeply with his subjects, blending observation with storytelling to preserve moments that might otherwise go unseen. His visual narratives aim to create awareness, inspire social change and elevate the voices of rural communities on global platforms.

  • 2nd Place - Fotogram Photo Club, Portrait category. Recognition on an international platform.
