I’m Arkodeep Roy, a Journalism & Mass Communication student based in Kolkata, with a deep passion for documentary storytelling, visual journalism, and the human stories that shape our everyday world.
I actively curate and organize workshops, cultural experiences, and guided tours across Kolkata and India through kolkata.meet.the.locals, under the mentorship of Anjan Ghosh. These experiences allow me to engage closely with communities, cultures, and stories beyond the surface.
Through my lens, I seek to document the essence of culture, people’s livelihoods, traditions, and real human experiences. I believe photography is more than the act of capturing an image—it is a way of preserving emotions, identities, histories, and fleeting moments that might otherwise disappear with time.
