A quiet portrait of childhood, resilience, and everyday life in rural India.
About this series
Childhood in rural India unfolds in a world where simplicity and hardship often exist side by side. These photographs are not about poverty alone; they are about the people, emotions, relationships, and small moments that make everyday life meaningful. I have always been drawn to the honesty of village life—the unplanned gestures, curious eyes, laughter, silence, and the strong sense of community. Through these black-and-white photographs, I try to preserve those fleeting moments and show childhood as I encountered it: raw, intimate, vulnerable, and full of life. For me, photography is a way of listening and observing. These images are my attempt to give space to stories that are often unseen, while respecting the dignity and individuality of the people within them.
